Let's talk about goals. Setting some goals is a great way to motivate yourself to train more frequently and target your training at specific areas, thus turning weaknesses into strengths. This week, we decided to start writing our goals on the chalkboard. If you haven't thought of a goal for the board yet, here are some tips:
1) Goals should be achievable. Setting goals that are too far from reach can be demoralizing, but setting realistic goals and accomplishing them gives you encouragement to go further with your next goal.
2) Goals should have a date attached to them. It's hard to prioritize an open-ended goal, but a goal set to a specific timeline can push you to work harder in the short-term. Then, you can set another goal further out. It's good to set goals for 3 months, 6 months, or pinned to an upcoming holiday or birthday.
3) Goals should be about doing something that you were not able to do before. Sometimes people set goals that are simply about vanity, but in CrossFit the best goals are about performance. We believe that appearance comes as a consequence of ability, and that this also helps build confidence.

Our CrossFit instructors can conduct personal training in the X-Studio just like any of our other Personal Trainers, but they are qualified specifically to help out with CrossFit skills, such as:
-Improving weightlifting technique (Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, Press)
-Developing gymnastic progressions (such as muscle-ups & handstand push-ups)
-Improving WOD scores & times
Prices are the same as Personal Training, starting at $65/hr, with lower hourly prices when purchased in larger packages or as monthly recurring services, conveniently auto-billed to their club account.
