The Snatch is the most technical of the barbell lifts. This movement requires a great deal of flexibility in the shoulders and hips, the ability to produce massive power from the legs, and superb coordination in order to move the bar from ground to overhead quickly. This can be seen as an "apex movement" (think apex predators like lions and sharks). Whether or not you realize it, we're working on elements of the snatch all the time with hip & shoulder mobility exercises, kettlebell swings, dumbbell cleans, overhead squats, etc. Even though this was the first time snatching for several people today, you will continue to improve and eventually become confident and graceful in this lift.

Our CrossFit instructors can conduct personal training in the X-Studio just like any of our other Personal Trainers, but they are qualified specifically to help out with CrossFit skills, such as:
-Improving weightlifting technique (Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, Press)
-Developing gymnastic progressions (such as muscle-ups & handstand push-ups)
-Improving WOD scores & times
Prices are the same as Personal Training, starting at $65/hr, with lower hourly prices when purchased in larger packages or as monthly recurring services, conveniently auto-billed to their club account.
