Every month we go into the pool for a swim workout. Usually these have looked like one of two things:
- A couplet or triplet with short pool sprints and body weight exercise on the pool deck.
- Or a sprint/rest situation.
Today, we went into a much longer time domain, working on freestyle swimming technique and testing your ability to sustain your swimming output at a much lower effort than sprinting. This was pretty darned hard for people, and there were a lot of pauses at the ends of the pool. The key to being able to do this whole 500m without a break: pacing. You've got to learn to swim at a "jogging" pace, breathing easy and maintaining a consistent stroke for the entire 10 laps.

Our CrossFit instructors can conduct personal training in the X-Studio just like any of our other Personal Trainers, but they are qualified specifically to help out with CrossFit skills, such as:
-Improving weightlifting technique (Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, Press)
-Developing gymnastic progressions (such as muscle-ups & handstand push-ups)
-Improving WOD scores & times
Prices are the same as Personal Training, starting at $65/hr, with lower hourly prices when purchased in larger packages or as monthly recurring services, conveniently auto-billed to their club account.
