Tuesday featured some Snatch practice; a major focus in our current block of programming. The Snatch is the King of the barbell lifts, the absolute best way to take a heavy load from the floor to over your head in one move... which is pretty useful if you're trying to best your friends in an old-timey strongman competition. (Bring your handlebar mustache!)
This was followed by two short couplets, "blender" style. Workouts like this are the essence of CrossFit's mixed-modal conditioning approach: Pick a couple of functional movements and throw them together in a short, high-intensity circuit. If you've been around here for awhile, the 21-15-9 rep scheme and combination of gymnastics and weights should remind you of someone. I'll just say that her name starts with F and she'll be paying us a visit real soon.

Our CrossFit instructors can conduct personal training in the X-Studio just like any of our other Personal Trainers, but they are qualified specifically to help out with CrossFit skills, such as:
-Improving weightlifting technique (Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, Press)
-Developing gymnastic progressions (such as muscle-ups & handstand push-ups)
-Improving WOD scores & times
Prices are the same as Personal Training, starting at $65/hr, with lower hourly prices when purchased in larger packages or as monthly recurring services, conveniently auto-billed to their club account.
