Tuesday's strength section was a "Total Body" day. Total body lifts are exactly what they sound like: lifts that use your entire body at once. Specifically, they involve using the legs to move an object held in the hands, transferring force through your midsection. Today's lifts were both accessory lifts for developing the Snatch.
The Workout of the Day (W.O.D.) was "Nancy", a classic CrossFit couplet. Even though the 95lb. prescription is given, that may not be the best weight for you. The intention is to use an appropriate weight to make this fast and aerobic, so you want something that you can handle for unbroken sets of 15. I was happy to see everyone get scores in the 15-20 minute range, this means you scaled appropriately. If it took you 45 minutes, we'd have a problem.

Our CrossFit instructors can conduct personal training in the X-Studio just like any of our other Personal Trainers, but they are qualified specifically to help out with CrossFit skills, such as:
-Improving weightlifting technique (Clean, Jerk, Snatch, Squat, Deadlift, Press)
-Developing gymnastic progressions (such as muscle-ups & handstand push-ups)
-Improving WOD scores & times
Prices are the same as Personal Training, starting at $65/hr, with lower hourly prices when purchased in larger packages or as monthly recurring services, conveniently auto-billed to their club account.
