Lindy grew up in the Skagit Valley and is well known in the running community for her high school Track and Cross-Country success. After graduating as valedictorian in 2001, Lindy completed her B.S. degree in biology at Central Washington University on scholarship as a competitor in Cross-Country and Track. She placed 15th in the nation at the 2006 NCAA Division II National Track and Field Championship, and she still holds all-time top ten records for CWU middle distance running events. After completing her collegiate running career, Lindy competed in triathlons, and road bike races during graduate school for her M.S. degree in biology from the University of Montana, and found CrossFit in 2011. Lindy enjoys the community, variety, and challenges of CrossFit so much that she became a CrossFit coach.
Lindy has been coaching CrossFit for 5 years, and has experience working with beginners all the way up to world-class CrossFit Games athletes. Beyond the basic CrossFit Trainer credential, she has certifications in Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics, and Mobility.
"My clients are open for a challenge, want to compete with themselves and others in a fun, community atmosphere, like to learn new training methodologies, and like to see results from their hard work." -Lindy
Group Fitness Supervisor, Group Fitness instructor, Riverside Extreme Instructor
Born and raised in Anacortes Washington and moved to Mount Vernon in 2008. Loved sports and fitness all my life playing basketball and many other sports growing up- my love for group fitness started in my early teenage years when I began attending classes with my Mom. I now use my love for sports to coach my own children teams and kids from our community.
My Philosophy on health and fitness is teaching people to use moderation in their diet and find an exercise routine that motivates them to come back for more. I believe in finding something you love so you will continue on that path of fitness and not dread the routine. Keeping the workouts varying and changing is key to keep you on your toes and having fun while working hard.
