Meet the Personal Trainers:

Tina Riggins:
Personal Trainer, Body Bugg Certification

Tina was born and raised in Skagit County. In school, she was always one of the smallest in her class, but never let that slow her down. As a student at Sedro-Woolley High School, she played volleyball, golf and was very involved in student government, clubs and activities. Her enthusiasm for the outdoors led her to take up hiking, backpacking, biking and skiing. She later played Recreational League Softball. Tina has always enjoyed working out and staying fit. After graduation she attended Skagit Valley College for 2 years, then earned a degree from Bellingham Tech. One of her first jobs was planting trees and fighting fires for the DNR. She worked as an electrician for 25 years, until another knee injury made her consider a career change. Her passion for fitness, health and helping others drives her to work hard at everything she does. Her friendly outgoing personality made her a natural fit with people at RHC. She volunteers time to Habitat for Humanity and Children’s Hospital projects. She is married and has 2 grown children and 1 grandson.

Allison Townsend
personal trainer/ Boot Camp Instructor
Allison joined Riverside Eastside in 2003 after the birth of her third child and successfully lost over 70 pounds through healthy eating and exercise. Through her wonderful experience she developed a passion to help other people get on the right path to a healthy lifestyle.Allison started out as a shy participant in classes. She developed an interest in teaching a strength class and approached the fitness director about becoming a group fitness instructor. Although Allison had outstanding technique and extensive knowledge, her quietness was of concern. She went through thorough training and testing and broke out of her shell becoming outgoing instructor in 2005 . As her passion for the fitness industry grew even more, Allison decided to become a personal trainer and got her World Instructor Training School (WITS) certification in 2006. Allison planned and is leading the Eastside Fitness Challenge which is a boot camp inspired group personal training program. Allison’s passion for the fitness industry only keeps growing stronger. She is continuing to grow in her career by getting her Associate in Technical Arts (ATA) degree and Medical Assistant Certificate, with a strong interest in rehabilitative medicine.
Allison enjoys running outdoors and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their three children during her free time.

   Greg  Needy
TRX Suspension Trainer
Greg was born and raised in Mount Vernon where he graduated high school in 2005. Greg grew up with a love for sports but was always the skinniest guy on the team. This in turn motivated him to become fit and strong. When Greg first began working out, he was self-conscious about his strength – he would try to come into the club with his dad during the odd hours so that he wouldn’t be seen. After sticking with it, he not only saw results, but was able to take his abilities to a collegiate level. Greg played community college basketball for two years and coached during the summers. Greg has been coaching NBC basketball camps since 2006, where the philosophy is respect, manners, work ethic and positive mental attitude.Through coaching, playing, ASB, and leadership, Greg understands what it takes to be a leader both on and off the court…or in this case in and out of the gym! Greg enjoys the great outdoors from running, hiking, biking, and boating. Greg spent a year and a half abroad working and backpacking through Australia, New Zealand, and Thailand. Upon his return, he committed himself to getting back in shape. He fell in love with the TRX Suspension System and now is not only in the best shape of his life, but is fully certified to teach and train.
