About
I was born and raised on the coast of Texas, where I enjoyed surfing, swimming and was on the swim team in Jr High. It wasn’t until I moved to a small town with few options that I discovered team sports. I thrived at volleyball from the strength I built from swimming.
Work Philosophy
Because I’ve lived the journey, I recognize it’s a lifestyle change. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, so you always want to find what makes you feel strong and powerful to keep the motivation high.
I get bored and assume others do too so my style of training is always fresh. We may be working on the same concept (stability for example), but always in a different format from one workout to the next.
I want to teach my clients as we go, why we do what we do, so they understand the importance of all the programming and components of fitness.
Small goals are important for progress and motivation. It’s about always about setting new goals and finding new ways to challenge yourself to keep progressing.
Small, obtainable goals are important so you don’t lose focus and so that you see small victories along the way.
Ideal Client
My perfect client isn’t pigeon-holed into one gender, fitness level, or body type. All I ask is that you try. Keep an open mind. Give me your best every time you walk in (as I will always do for you) and we both win.
You’re closer to your goal and I’m a better teacher for it. I won’t ever give a client anything I don’t think they can handle so all I ask is that you try.
Results
I’m a living example of my success and that helps me connect with people at the beginning of their journey. I started at 214 lbs. and found my passion for training when I discovered the high of the weight room. Through weights and classes I dropped down to 147 lbs. and achieved awesome tone and definition by working for that lean body mass.
Since I work with all body types I’ve helped clients hit many goals; from endurance to muscle gain or large amounts of weight loss. Your goals are my goals. I’ve had clients win challenges at my old gym --a female lean body mass winner and a male weight loss winner.
Qualifications
