I am a Washington resident born and raised. Riverside Health Club is where my fitness journey began. When I was young, I remember going to swim lessons then becoming a young adult member at age 13. I struggled with weight and anxiety as a child but found peace at the gym through exercise and movement. I admired the personal trainers working at the gym and was inspired by them. After graduating from Sedro Woolley High School, I pursued my studies at National Personal Training Institute of Bellevue Washington. While studying at NPTI, I certified and started teaching TRX classes at both RHC locations. I temporarily stepped away from training when I became a mother. Now, I have the opportunity to help other mothers feel confident as I strive to make a positive impact on the wellbeing of others. Health and Fitness Philosophy I strongly believe that physical movement is essential for everyone, regardless of age or fitness level. Engaging in regular exercise not only improves overall well-being but also equips us with valuable skills that enable us to move with ease and safety in our daily lives. Whether it's pushing, pulling, or lifting objects, these movements are a part of our everyday activities. By learning and practicing the correct techniques in the gym, we can reap long-lasting benefits that extend far beyond our workout sessions. Ideal Client If you are a new mom looking to regain confidence postpartum or a retiree seeking to improve your golf swing, I’d love to help you achieve your goals. My passion for exercise has led me to explore various indoor and outdoor activities. I developed a deep appreciation for diverse movements such as swimming, strength training, golf, and yoga. I am flexible and open to working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. With my hands-on in class training at NPTI, I learned to create programs for a variety of age groups and work around injuries. Designing customized workout programs for my clients is not only enjoyable but very rewarding for me. My goal as a RHC Trainer When you step into the gym, I want you to leave all your worries behind and enter a space of pure joy. The gym should be a sanctuary, a place where happiness is contagious. My ultimate objective is for you to walk in with excitement, ready to push yourself and achieve your goals. Allison WeeksPersonal TrainerAs a military kid, I lived many different places throughout my childhood. When my dad retired, my family and I moved back to Anchorage, Alaska. I have been active my whole life and was a competitive gymnast for seven years and participated in CrossFit for two years. I also thoroughly enjoy hiking, backpacking, and mountain biking! My desire to live an active, healthy lifestyle spurred me on to pursue and obtain my Kinesiology degree from Montana State University. Learning about the human body, how it functions, and its response to exercise drastically changed my approach to fitness. Fitness is now not only something I am passionate about, but I understand why it is essential for overall health and improved quality of life.
Training Philosophy I believe that going to the gym should be enjoyable and something my clients look forward to multiple times a week. Through personalized exercise plans, we will work together to make sure you are feeling your best, not only in the gym, but outside of the gym as well! My desire is that through my programming, you can perform exercises and activities of daily living easier and more comfortably than before. I was born and raised in Skagit Valley. I grew up biking, playing basketball, running track, and wrestling. Training for these sports made me fall in love with weightlifting and strength training. I studied fitness in my own time and committed myself to it. I will always continue to further my education and learn more about it. My passion for fitness has made me realize that my life's purpose is to spread the knowledge that I have learned through studying, and experience to help people reach their fitness goals. Training Philosophy I believe that showing up for yourself is the best thing that you can do, and everyone's body is unique. I want to find what works for you to improve you physically, and mentally, build your confidence, and promote longevity. Through fun, goal-specific training I know that we can work together to make this happen!
