Back in February we highlighted Luke Pusateri, then 15, who was gunning for the Philippine Junior National Team. Luke spends 2 hours, 6 days a week, 11+ months out of the year training to make his dreams come true, and he does a lot of that training right here in our pool with RHC trainer, Carol Mochkatel! Today we get to share a very exciting update: Luke was selected to the Philippine Junior National Team! He’ll be competing for the Philippines in the South-East Asia Age Group Games in the Philippines this year from July 6- 8. He’ll be swimming 200 meter breaststroke, 100 meter breaststroke and 50 meter breaststroke for the 16 – 18 age group. Also, possibly some relays, still be decided by PSI. In order to be selected, he had to have one of the top two times in an event between January 1, 2018 and May 6, 2018. Other countries competing are; Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, and Singapore. Quite the feat and he’s only 16! Congratulations Luke and Carol, we're so proud!
